Lightning Strikes Plane Moments After Its Landing

A terrifying video of a lightning striking a Delta Air Lines plane moments before it sat on a runway appeared on Youtube.

A man was recording a heavy thunderstorm at the airport when he captured a huge lightning bolt slamming straight into the tail of the plane. It is still unclear if anyone was on board the aircraft at the time of the strike. The incident took place at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport area, the US.

Lightning slams into the back of the aircraft and lights up the sky for a split-second

The eyewitness of the incident, who identified himself as Jack Perkins, wrote: “While filming the line of planes all stacked up during a ground hold in Atlanta on Tuesady. I happened to capture this direct lightning strike on a 737.”
