gone so soon

We announce the passing of Kernan McLuster on Wednesday, August 19, 2015, he was 57 years old.
He is survived by his two children, Kernan McLuster Jr., and Tanya Marquez; granddaughter, Aralyn; four sisters, Alexis Holdman, Tracy Elazier (Kenneth), Rory McLuster (Marcus), and Karen Barros (Steven) along with other friends and family too numerous to mention.
A small celebration of his life will be held at Coconuts Bar and Grill, St. Thomas, on Friday, August 28, 2015, at 1 p.m.

It is with a broken heart that I announce the passing of Thomas Dale Erb, my beloved husband of 32 years.
Known to those who love him simply as Tom, he passed over in my embrace on August 3, 2015, at the age of 66. He is sure to be welcomed with loving arms by his much-loved son, Morgan; his mother, Muriel; and his father, Cyril.

Alfred Caleb Tyson
On Tuesday, July 28, 2015, Alfred Caleb Tyson, affectionately known as Fredo, peacefully passed away at his daughter's home in Anna's Retreat, St. Thomas, at the age of 106. This patriarch of the Tyson clan was from the island of Nevis.
A celebration of his life service will take place at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Estate Thomas, on Monday, Aug. 10, 2015. The viewing is from 9 to 10 a.m., followed by the service.

Doris Evelyn Simmonds-West
We announce the passing of Doris Evelyn Simmonds-West, who died on July 25, 2015, at the age of 92.
She was born on Dec. 9, 1922, on St. Thomas, V.I. She was employed at the Knud Hansen Hospital Lab and later, the Nazareth Bay High School.
Doris Simmonds-West, known as "Simmonds" to most, was a world-class cook and baker. Her red peas soup, bread, sweet bread, tarts and green tamarind stew were everyone's favorite.
